Co-founder and MD of Endunamoo
Rendani Muthelo (35) is the co-founder and MD of Endunamoo, a private tuition provider of accounting support and professional courses. Born and raised in Limpopo, Rendani completed his studies at UCT, after which he joined National Treasury for his training programme. During his training, he offered after-hour classes to his colleagues that were studying for CTA, ITC and APC. After completing his training programme, he joined Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) as a corporate finance transactor. His banking career was short-lived and after only 20 months, he left RMB to start Endunamoo.
This was an unusual and bold move for someone who had never been an academic before. Rendani’s drive was his passion for empowering candidates, especially black African candidates that were struggling with their CTA studies. Hence Endunamoo, a name of Greek origin that means to empower someone.
After a few years, Endunamoo launched an ITC board course to support its successful CTA candidates and repeat candidates through their ITC journey. The ITC board course was a huge success and achieved exceptional results such that Rendani and his team decided to support the Endunamoo candidates through to CA(SA) qualification. In 2020, Endunamoo achieved a historic milestone when SAICA accredited one of the Endunamoo brands, EPC, as the first black-owned professional programme provider in South Africa. EPC went on to achieve another historic milestone when it secured a 100% pass rate for its first-time candidates in the SAICA 2021 APC assessment.
Rendani’s efforts has seen Endunamoo achieve tremendous success in the past 10 years. To name a few, Endunamoo not only survived COVID-19 but thrived such that today it boasts more than 1 000 candidates across its BCTA, CTA, ITC and APC programmes and partners with more than 200 passionate and talented CAs(SA) as lecturers, speakers, markers and mentors in the empowerment of candidates. Under Rendani’s leadership, Endunamoo has empowered many young professionals in achieving their CA dreams and inspired many others to persevere.
Rendani is passionate about developing young professionals such that he has established various initiatives to empower his former candidates with a keen interest to join the professional team. Three of his former candidates are now involved as a senior lecturer, marking team leader and lecturer.
Outside his professional life, he is a husband to a lovely wife and a father of two wonderful children. He loves travelling and watching cartoons.
