Manager within CFO Advisory of EY London and Founder of Run Forest Run
Rehan Greeff is a proudly South African chartered accountant that has plied his trade as a consultant within the Big 4 firms of Deloitte Johannesburg and for the past seven years EY London. He joined the financial accounting advisory services practice within CFO Advisory focusing on the financial services industry, where he has successfully been facilitating change management projects on some of the largest multinational corporations.
Whilst being a full-time manager at EY, Rehan is also an ultra-runner and adventure lover. With this passion, together with a drive to make a positive impact, he created ‘Run Forest Run’. This is a running community dedicated to using their talents and love for the great outdoors in a way that positively impacts those less fortunate.
Since receiving miraculous healing from debilitating knee injuries in 2017, Rehan has been purposefully expanding horizons, running for the good and raising funds towards ‘ForAfrika’ (previously known as Joint Aid Management), Africa’s largest indigenous non-governmental organisation. Through his annual self-created challenges, Rehan has become ForAfrika’s largest individual fundraiser − impacting thousands of children through ForAfrika’s school feeding schemes throughout Africa.
Rehan’s most recent #TriChallenge was to complete three full Ironman-equivalent triathlons (3,8 km swim, 180,2 km cycle and 42,2 km run) in three countries (South Africa, Uganda and the United Kingdom) over only six days. As part of 2021’s Run Forest Run #ExpansionChallenge, Rehan set a new record time on a 300 km run around London and raised over £50 000 with the 60+ runners he trained to run the furthest they have ever run before (anything between 10 km and 100 km).
In September 2022, Rehan was announced as a winner in the social impact category at the African Achievers Awards – a prestigious Forbes-rated annual awards ceremony that celebrates African excellence through recognising and honouring notable individuals and organisations in Africa across multiple industries that contribute to the growth and development of the continent. This year’s award ceremony took place in London.
Modern Athlete magazine − South Africa’s largest running-based magazine − profiled Rehan in their September/October 2022 issue.
Rehan’s family, his faith and the church community ground him and have been the catalyst for everything he undertakes. His focus is to share his testimony using his platform and gifts to influence those around him, especially the next generation. It is his goal to continue to expand his positive impact and help people to step up and make a difference in their communities.
